Equine Medical Associates, Inc. was founded in 1976 with one goal in mind: to improve the overall standard of excellence in equine medicine in Central Oklahoma. From this vision, EMA has grown to become one of the preeminent private equine practices in the country.
Staffed by equine surgeons board certified by the American College of Veterinary Surgeons, experienced
field services veterinarians, graduate veterinary interns, certified veterinary technicians, veterinary assistants and hard working office personnel. EMA offers both inpatient and outpatient veterinary medical care, 24 hours a
day emergency field and surgical services, advanced diagnostic technology and the finest patient care anywhere in the United States.
Our mission is to achieve excellence in equine veterinary care. Therefore, we
constantly strive to increase our level of knowledge and practice to better serve our clients and improve the quality of medical care available to our patients. EMA has a strong commitment to continuing education,
and is dedicated to the development of cutting edge veterinary procedures and research to improve the overall quality of equine veterinary medical practice.
Our hospital is set on 7 scenic wooded acres, with easy access to I-35 in Edmond, Oklahoma, Equine Medical Associates, Inc. boasts a full service 15,000 square foot hospital facility with two large operating
rooms adjacent to separate fully padded induction and recovery rooms.
The facility also includes two examination rooms with safe, well designed stocks.
Examination Room One is conveniently equipped with pneumatic dental equipment. With several stalls outfitted for the requirements of colic, isolation and neonatal care,
our 28-stall fully enclosed, heated recovery center ensures patient comfort.
